ABB has unveiled the DS301C M 10 kA, an electromechanical RCBO that combines residual current and overcurrent protection in a single module, the same 17.6 mm width as a standard MCB. It was shown at Light + Building in March 2026.
Why it matters
- It saves around half the space of a separate RCD and MCB, freeing room in crowded boards and control panels.
- 10 kA breaking capacity. Select the device against the prospective fault current and the installation requirements.
- It works independently of supply voltage, so protection doesn't depend on the mains being present.
